South Carolina

I didn't arrive until almost 2 am this morning. I am exhausted because I woke up at 645 to get ready to leave for Charleston by 715 because I signed up for a BLS recertification course for 9 am this morning. That wrapped up around 11 and I commenced to checking out some of the shops I'd been missing like LUSH and Trader Joe's. Lush bc I finally have a bath tub again and I can soak, so I bought myself some bath bombs 🥹-- HEAVEN! Trader Joe's bc... well it's Trader Joe's, do you need any more explanation than that?

I feel right at home already. I got home around 2 pm and finished unpacking and got settled in and took my book to the dock and commenced to reading. I ended up just sitting and looking at the water and sky more than anything, listening to music my daddy would love. I always feel him around me, but I really feel him here.

You ever just go somewhere and feel that tug at your heart that says, this is home. Not now, but soon. I've been here less than 24 hours and I already feel that way. It's my home for the future. I'm going to end up planting roots here. I Can feel it in my bones.

I also feel like this time is going to be a beautiful time of healing for my broken, sad heart. The one that misses my daddy and curses all of my ex-boyfriends into oblivion. Yeah I'm gonna cry a lot here, but the good kind. The kind that flows down into your soul and seals all the cracks in your heart.

How I know Im going to heal- well God is onto something here, I'll have to share more on that later, but he's definitely come before me and made some magic happen. I can feel it in the warmth of my neighbors and the kindness of my landlord and her husband. I feel like I'm going to be living my own real life version of Hart of Dixie or Virgin River in this place, so stay tuned.

Texas grew me a lot, perhaps ten fold, but that was just the beginning. This place is gonna set my wild flower soul on fire and I'm really going to bloom here.

Work starts Monday. It's going to be another heart warming adventure. Time for some R&R before bed time.

Im gonna go soak in my bath, and then I'm then and I'm gonna sink my feet into the South Carolina ground and spin round and round listening to "Kiss Me" while I tell the moon good night. 💕🫶🏽
