The First Post

Hello all and welcome to my blog!! Those of you who are reading and know who I am, then I need know introduction, and those of you who are reading and don't, well I'm sorry, but you just won't get one because I've decided to do this anonymously for the time being.

I came up with a captivating title for a very entertaining (I hope, fingers crossed) first post. I promise I will aspire to be much more creative and innovative in the future, ha ha.

How is everyone doing? Why are we all here?? Hopefully to read and relate on funny dating escapades. I can tell you, I have PLENTY. I want to start off telling stories,THIS IS A SAFE PLACE, I felt obligated to say that. This is a safe place-- at least it is for anyone who isn't going to be featured in any of my stories (sorry boys, don't worry your name is under the table/off limits).

The name of the blog is actually a funny story in itself, well it could be sad, depending on how you look at it, :D. I decided to name it 2 week shelf life because generally speaking that is about how long my short romance rendezvous last. They have 2 week shelf life, and then they crash and burn.

I'm here to write about said stories. I decided to stay anonymous because I've done some things that I'm not proud to attach my everyday identity to, and so for the sake of preserving self and preserving the dignity of others involved, it will just have to be this way for the time being. Maybe one day I will reveal who I am, but if not it can be a fun gossip girl-esque guessing game.

Anyways, I decided to start this blog because dating for women is brutal these days...and especially for me as a 30 YO because I honestly feel like most days, I'm running out of time (I know I'm just being dramatic)-- but seriously when another relationship kicks off and then comes to a disastrous ending, it leaves me with this feeling in my stomach of "will I ever meet someone?"

I know that I'm not alone, and I want this to be a place where everyone feels like they can relate-- and hell maybe even some guys can chime in and tell us what we're doing wrong, and how we can change our dating attitude around bc let me tell you...mine sucks right now, and quite frankly after this last "heart crack" as one of my friends termed it-- I don't think I ever want to go on another date for as long as I live again, because you guys are GOOD at making a girl feel special and wanted and cared for, until you drop her like a damn hot potato, *SPLAT*, and all the toppings fly everywhere: sour cream hits the floor, cheese melted and stuck EVERYWHERE-- okay I'm sure you're picking up on the visual by now. WHAT A WASTE OF A POTATO!! You FEEL ME????

So this blog is just as much for YOU as it is for ME, and I'd like to say I'm going to hit topics randomly. I mean maybe one day I'll tell a dating story, maybe one day I'll talk about a certain issue I've experienced, but whatever the case -- it will be a place where we can all learn from one another!! I'm super excited about it- and I"m proud that I've finally decided to do it-- So here's to the future of 2 week shelf life! xoxo
